Getting involved

You have heard that story before: our limiting factor is funding! We have many plans, dedicated people and local knowledge, but money and proper funding remains a problem.

Getting involved in Yenege Tesfa is a rewarding experience for those interested in aid and charity work! We don't employ marketing people to communicate with you, and your donation is not just a drop in the ocean on international bank accounts. If you visit our work or send us a donation, you can expect a thankful smile and through our newsletter we will keep you informed.

>>If you live abroad

Today, even a place like Gondar is only a mouseclick away from where you live. Therefore, you can read our newsletters and communicate with Yenege Tesfa by e-mail.

If you feel like visiting Yenege Tesfa on your trip to Ethiopia, feel welcome! This well give you a first-hand impression of our work, and we will be grateful for your donations.

We will use funds for improving and extending our existing programmes. With about 3,000 street children, many of them orphans and AIDS victims, we are reminded each day how much still needs to be done. By keeping books about our activities, we will be able to certify our principles of good administration at any time.

Please, help us with our work.

There are different ways to donate money. We work together with Beletu, an NGO from the Netherlands. It's possible to transfer money to their account. They will transfer your money to us. We also have an account in Gonder, but it is not always possible to transfer money from outside Ethiopia to this account. So, ask your bank first! The last possibility is Western Union Money Transfer. This system is quick and reliable. Unfortunately, the administrative fees are quite high.

Please, send us a notification e-mail after donating money. We will inform you, as soon as we have received your money.

>>If you live at Gondar

A NGO like Yenege Tesfa would be impossible without the unselfish and voluntary help of many people.
There are hundreds of ways of getting involved. Our aim is to help street children and especially orphaned street children, without creating new problems at the same time. Therefore, it would not be enough just to dump food and clothing on the street. All actions have to be planned carefully, and we need many helping hands to do things properly. So, get in touch today!
